華語1級 Level 1 (Elementary Chinese)

Book 1 Pronunciation - Book 2 Lesson 4

  1. 僅能聽懂語速緩慢且內容簡單的訊息。
  2. 能書寫日常生活對話的大意,並閱讀所記錄的內容。
  3. 會正確使用日常生活用語,具基礎溝通能力,對自己、家庭、學習等相關主題以短句來表達。
  1. Can understand slow and simple messages.
  2. Can describe the main idea of daily conversations and read the recorded content.
  3. Can use everyday language correctly, have basic communication skills, and express oneself, family, study and other related topics in short sentences.

華語2級 Level 2 (Intermediate Chinese)

Book 2 Lesson 5 – Book 3 Lesson 10

  1. 能大致聽懂日常生活或特定主題(如:家庭、各人喜好、人際互動、職場、展場導覽…)等訊息或指令。
  2. 能大致理解日常生活及一般社交中常用之詞彙(如職場、學校、休閒場所等),及讀懂淺顯易懂的陳述性文本。
  3. 能簡單地就生活中切身相關或感興趣的主題(如經驗、夢想等)進行描述、說明。
  4. 能撰寫300字以上的短文來表達上二項之內容,但句型結構多不完整,且詞語常誤用。
  1. Can roughly understand the vocabulary commonly used in daily life and general social interaction (such as workplace, school, leisure places, etc.), as well as easy-to-understand declarative texts.
  2. Can generally understand messages or instructions such as daily life or specific topics (such as family, personal preferences, interpersonal interactions, workplace, and exhibition tours).
  3. Can describe and explain briefly relevant or interesting topics in life (such as experiences, dreams, etc.).
  4. Can write a short essay of more than 300 words to express the content of the above two items, but the sentence structures are often incomplete, and the words are often misused.

華語3級 Level 3

(High Intermediate Chinese)

  1. 能聽懂公共場所之廣播內容。
  2. 能聽懂專業性主題之演講。能分辨不同說話者之觀點與立場。
  3. 能廣泛、自主地採用不同的閱讀策略和速度,以掌握具體及抽象主題的文章並瞭解文章涵蓋之專業訊息及技術討論。
  4. 能針對各種形式之傳播內容,較順暢地表達正反立場,並清楚說明原因及理由。
  5. 能撰寫不同體裁且議題複雜、約600字的短文或報告,但仍偶有句型結構不完整及詞語誤用之處。
  1. Can understand broadcast content in public places.
  2. Can understand speeches on professional topics. Can distinguish different viewpoints and positions between speakers.
  3. Can widely and autonomously use different reading strategies and speeds to master articles on specific and abstract topics and understand the professional information and technical discussions covered by the articles.
  4. Can express positive and negative positions more smoothly for various forms of communication content, and clearly explain the causes and reasons.
  5. Can write short essays or reports of about 600 words in different genres with complex issues, but there are still occasional incomplete sentence structures and misuse of words.
華語4級 Level 4 (Advanced Chinese)

  1. 能閱讀並理解議論文、時事評論的篇章大意。
  2. 能大致聽懂語速較快且不同主題的新聞廣播。
  3. 能較順暢地使用社交語言溝通。
  4. 能以高級詞彙及篇章組織能力撰寫約1000字之評論性文章,仍偶有句型結構不完整及詞語誤用之處。
  1. Can read and understand the general idea of argumentative papers and current affairs reviews.
  2. Can generally understand news broadcasts with fast speech and different topics.
  3. Can use social language to communicate fluently.
  4. Can write a critical essay of about 1000 words with advanced vocabulary and discourse organization skills, with occasional incomplete sentence structure and misuse of words.

華語5級 Level 5

(High Advanced Chinese)

  1. 能理解所聽到或是讀到的不同議題事件,且能掌握細節,偶爾須借重工具書之協助。
  2. 能以書面語詞評論新聞事件,並能順暢地表達自己的看法。
  3. 對複雜的主題經他人提示後,多能順利溝通、評論。
  1. Can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read, and be able to grasp the details, occasionally with the help of reference books.
  2. Can comment on news events in written terms and express views fluently and smoothly.
  3. Can communicate and comment on complex topics, after being prompted by others.
